With Trevor Brazile aboard, five Relentless Remuda horses brought in a combined $84,964 across heading and heeling at the May 2025 Gold Buckle Futurities. Their collective earnings topped the leaderboard, with Brazile receiving the Top Money Earning Rider at the Spring Showdown.
The top earner under Brazile was Pride And Joyy, owned by Kilo Partners. The stallion by Stevie Rey Von out of Fun N Fancy Free by Peptoboonsmal earned $14,645, placing fifth in the Maturity Heeling average, winning the Elite Breeder’s Incentive, and finishing fourth in the Elite Stallion Incentive.
Brazile won the title in the Maturity Heeling on his long-time standout Not White At All, known in the barn as Legend. Not White At All contributed $10,790 for the aggregate win. Brazile has shown the Relentless Remuda gelding since his 4-year-old year.
“That guy’s just been a soldier,” Brazile said. “We trained him until he was 4, and it feels like we’ve just been enjoying him ever since. He really understands his job.”
Legend didn’t originally make the trip to Ardmore, but Brazile added him late to stay eligible for the High Money Trailer awarded to the year’s top-earning rider. In fact, he and Baker hadn’t even ridden the horse in the week leading up to the Gold Buckle, since they hadn’t planned to bring him.
“He wasn’t eligible for the sidepots, but he’s such a good horse I didn’t want to leave him behind,” Brazile added. “He’s easy, he’s forgiving and he just goes and does his job.”
RR Buckles Clubhouse, a staple in the Remuda’s program, earned $14,413 in Brazile’s hands. The gelding placed in the Heading Maturity average and added money in the Elite Stallion Incentive. A 6-year-old gelding by Reliance Ranches’ Elite Stallion Show Me The Buckles out of Hail Olena by Shine Like Hail, the horse is owned by Bryan Beaver and was the 2024 American Rope Horse Futurity Association’s Reserve World Champion.
“He’s been solid since he was 4,” Brazile said. “He’s one of those horses that just doesn’t need much. He’s the same horse every time.”
RR Gunners Affair, the Jared Wittwer-owned ARHFA World Champion by Gunners Special Nite, accounted for $9,717. RR Gunners Affair is out of Cowgirl Affair, the dam to the Relentless Remuda’s former ARHFA World Champion Heel Horse WND Affair.
“That’s just a good horse,” he said. “You can count on him.”
The Gunnatrashya mare Gunna Wanna, co-owned by Earnhardt, Relentless and Solo Select, rounded out Brazile’s earnings with $4,609 in the Maturity Heeling. She’s out of Chics Vintage Flair by Smart Chic Olena.
With strong results in Ardmore, Brazile takes the lead in the Stephenville Trailers High Money Rider standings. The year-end award goes to the roper with the highest combined earnings from the spring and fall futurities, with entries required at both.
