The 2025 leaderboard is live, and every dollar earned at the Spring Showdown counts toward the fall awards. See whoโs in the running for top honors when the Gold Buckle Futurities World Finals head to Abilene, TX on November 12-16, 2025.
Rider Earnings
The rider standings are set after the Spring Showdown, with earnings from Ardmore laying the groundwork for the run to Abilene. With just one event on the books, the top five have separated early and will carry that momentum into the fall.
These totals reflect only the riderโs share of Stallion and Breeder Incentive earnings.
- Trevor Brazile

Trevor Brazile leads the 2025 standings off a stacked performance from both sides of the team roping. He picked up futurity money in the Heading on A Relentless Buzz and Cardi BRelentless, finishing second in the average, and came back strong in the Maturity Heading with RR Buckles Clubhouse, RR Gunners Affair, and Vintage New York. In the Maturity Heeling, Brazile pulled checks on four different horses: Not White At All, Pride And Joyy, Time To Glo and Gunna Wanna, clinching the average win to cap off a dominant weekend.
- Rhen Richard

Rhen Richard sits close behind after posting money across three roping events. He took the average win in the Futurity Heading on Sammis Big Gal, Nestle Time, and Merry A Nickidman, then kept the pace in the Maturity Heading aboard Acrimetawearnickers and BR Call An Uber, placing second in the average on the latter. He also added earnings in the Maturity Heeling on SJR Diamond Ombre, picking up additional cash through the Breeders Incentive.
- Joseph Harrison

Joseph Harrisonโs earnings came from a solid spread of futurity and maturity rounds. He picked up Maturity Heading money on Air Force 1 and was second in the Futurity Heeling average with Hes Got Sann, alongside runs on Cattys Top Gun. In the Maturity Heeling, Harrison pulled checks on Nu One Time Blues and Copperton, keeping his position steady across multiple classes.
- Beau Peterson

Beau Peterson earned every dollar in the breakaway pen. She showed Hez Talkin Smack in the futurity and added multiple checks in the maturity with Aldo The Apache, Rollin On The River, Hez Talkin Smack again, and A Tru MVP. With runs across both divisions, Petersonโs consistency put her firmly in the top five.
- Haven Meged

Haven Megedโs spot on the leaderboard comes from deep runs in both the Futurity and Maturity Tiedown. He banked maturity checks on Bad Boon Baby RB, Imgunnatrashtalk, XIT Burton and Pawhuska, and finished second in the futurity average aboard Wares The Hottie. Additional rounds on See Ya At Noon, Stylin Royalty and Chics Trashy Doll kept his earnings rolling throughout the weekend.
Horse Earnings
The horse standings follow the same trajectory, shaped entirely by what played out in Ardmore. With one event in the books, the top five each put up meaningful checks and now hold a clear position heading into the run to Abilene. Itโs early, but the leaderboard already reflects the kind of consistency it takes to stay in it.
- Metallic Hot Rose
Metallics MVP – Lil Hot Rosita, by Hottish

Ridden by Loni Yates, this 2021 mare stacked up wins across both age divisions in the breakaway. She finished second in the Futurity Breakaway average and first in the Intermediate Futurity Breakaway, earning payouts in both stallion incentive programs. She followed it up with another win in the Intermediate Maturity Breakaway, putting her out front on the overall leaderboard.
- Wares The Hottie
Hottish – Holidayware, by WR This Cats Smart
Owned by Haven Meged and shown by both halves of the Meged team, this 2019 mare picked up big checks in two events. Shelby Meged rode her to a first-place finish in the Maturity Breakaway average, also claiming the stallion incentive win. Haven followed that up with a second-place finish in the Maturity Tiedown average. The crossover success from a single horse put Wares The Hottie firmly in the leaderboard.
- Sammis Big Gal
CC Brooks Big Boy – Sammi James Smith, by Jesse James Jr

This 2021 mare was shown in the Futurity Heading by Rhen Richard, where they took home the average win and swept both the stallion and breeder incentive payouts. Solid in every round, Sammis Big Gal put up one of the biggest checks of the weekend and made her mark as a true rope horse futurity contender.
- Hez Talkin Smack
Smooth Talkin Style – Lanas Little Dual, by Dual Banditos Gold

Beau Peterson rode this 2021 stallion to the top in the Futurity Breakaway, winning the average and earning second and third in the go-rounds. They also took home the stallion incentive payout in that class, and added maturity money to round out the weekend. With earnings across two age divisions, heโs one to keep an eye on going into the fall.
- Metallic Sage
Metallic Cat – Dark And Sultry, by Spots Hot
Clay Cerny and this 2021 stallion made the most of their runs in Ardmore. They finished second in the Futurity Tiedown average and picked up the stallion incentive win there, then came back to take first in the Intermediate Futurity Tiedown and secure another stallion incentive payout. A strong start in just one event pushed Metallic Sage into the top five.
Leading Sires
Strong offspring performances in Ardmore put early weight behind a select group of stallions. These five lead the pack based on stallion incentive earnings, showing up across multiple divisions and classes. The season is just getting started, but the influence behind the bloodlines is already showing.
- One Time Honor

One Time Honor is setting the tone early, powered by three money-earners across the heading. Fury of Honor delivered big in Ardmore, winning the second round of the Maturity Heading with Jake Cooper, topping the Intermediate Maturity Heading, and cashing both the Stallion and Breederโs Incentives in the class. A Relentless Buzz kept the momentum alive with Trevor Brazile, finishing reserve in the Futurity Heading average and took home the second place checks in the Stallion and Breederโs Incentives. Nestle Time, with Rhen Richard, added depth to the lineup, splitting a round win and finishing third in both the Futurity Heading average and Stallion Incentive.
- Metallics MVP

Metallics MVP sits second in the standings on the strength of two breakaway horses. Metallic Hot Rose, with Loni Yates, stacked major checks: reserve in the Futurity Breakaway average and Stallion Incentive, champion of the Intermediate Futurity Breakaway and its incentive, plus ninth in the Maturity average with wins in both the Intermediate Breakaway and Stallion Incentive. A Tru MVP, shown by Beau Peterson, added a top-ten placing in the Maturity Breakaway average.
- Hickory Holly Time

At third, Hickory Holly Time is showing strength across multiple events. In the breakaway, Time To Glo took a round win in the Maturity with Cheyanne McCartney, finished fifth in the average, and picked up third in the Stallion Incentive. He also placed in the heeling with Trevor Brazile, finishing seventh in the average and fifth in the Stallion Incentive. Hickory Glo Time, ridden by Cody Marx, stood out in the Limited Tie Down, taking fourth in the average and topping the Stallion Incentive. In heading, DT Corona Mist and Stran Pollitt earned seventh in the Limited average, third in the Non Pro, and second in the Stallion Incentive, while DT Blackjack Time and Pollitt claimed ninth in the Limited average, fourth in the Non Pro, and third in the Stallion Incentive. DT Whiz Kid Time, also with Pollitt, picked up a first-round win in the Limited Heeling.
- Metallic Cat

Four different horses carried Metallic Cat to fourth in the standings. Metallic Sage and Clay Cerny led the charge, earning reserve in the Futurity Tie Down average and Stallion Incentive, plus victories in both the Intermediate Futurity Tie Down Stallion Incentive. Dual Ringer, also with Cerny, added money in the Maturity Tie Down with a fourth in the Intermediate and reserve in the Stallion Incentive. See Ya At Noon doubled up with Haven Meged and Shelby Boisjoli-Meged, winning third rounds in both the Maturity Tie Down and Breakaway, while finishing eighth in the Tie Down average. Rounding out the group, Pawhuska and Haven Meged finished seventh in the Futurity Tie Down average.
- Kit Kat Sugar

Four performers pushed Kit Kat Sugar into the fifth slot. Aldo The Apache was the standout, teaming with Beau Peterson for a Maturity Breakaway round win and with Beau Cooper to capture the win in the Maturity Tie Down average and Stallion Incentive. Reyzed On Sugar and Shelby Boisjoli-Meged kept the sire in the Futurity Breakaway, finishing third in both the average and Stallion Incentive. XIT Burton and Haven Meged contributed with a fifth in the Futurity Tie Down average, while Kit Kat Goodness with Shelby Boisjoli-Meged added a first-round win in the Maturity Breakaway.
Leading Breeders
Behind every standout run is a program that built it. In Ardmore, every dollar earned by horses bred through eligible programs counts toward the breeders’ race. The spring event has already pushed several names to the front leading into the fall.
- Flag Ranch

Flag Ranch sits atop the breeders leaderboard, with five earners across the heading. Fury of Honor and Jake Cooper led the way, winning Round 2 of the Maturity Heading, topping the Intermediate division and Stallion Incentive, and collecting the Breederโs Incentive check, along with a sixth in the average. A Relentless Buzz and Trevor Brazile added reserve finishes in the Futurity Heading average, Stallion Incentive, and Breederโs Incentive. Nestle Time, ridden by Rhen Richard, split a Futurity Heading round win and finished third in both the average and Stallion Incentive. Relentless PYC and Miles Baker contributed a ninth in the Maturity Heading average and reserve in the Breederโs Incentive. Rounding it out, Una Furiosa and Billie Jack Saebens scored a Futurity Heading round win.
- A&C Racing and Roping

A&C Racing and Roping holds second in the standings, highlighted by Sammis Big Galโs Futurity Heading sweep with Rhen Richard. The duo won Round 1, split a third-round win, and secured the Futurity Heading average, plus both the Stallion and Breederโs Incentives. Sammis Version, with Clay Smith, added to the programโs earnings in the Maturity Heading with a tenth-place average finish and third in the Breederโs Incentive.
- San Juan Ranch

San Juan Ranch takes the third slot, with multiple horses adding to the tally. SJR Mists Apache led the way in Futurity Heeling, earning third in the average and Stallion Incentive with Hunter Koch, plus a Breederโs Incentive win. Codi finished twelfth in the Maturity Heeling average with Dakota Kirchenschlager and reserve in the Breederโs Incentive. Queen Of Sparkles, ridden by Brock Hanson, placed sixth in the Intermediate Maturity Heading and fourth in the Stallion Incentive. SJR Diamond Ombre contributed third in the Maturity Heeling Breederโs Incentive, while SJR Diamond Chanel finished seventh in the Intermediate Maturity Heading with Kirchenschlager.
- Center Ranch

Center Ranch holds fourth on the leaderboard thanks to CR Tuff King and CR Tuff Pep. CR Tuff King, ridden by Cody McCartney, set the pace with a Maturity Tie Down round win, third in the average, third in the Stallion Incentive, and first in the Breederโs Incentive. CR Tuff Pep added to the programโs total with Nick Travaglia, finishing fifth in the Intermediate Maturity Tie Down, second in the Breederโs Incentive, and third in the Stallion Incentive.
- L.A. Waters Quarter Horses

LA Waters Quarter Horses rounds out the top five breeders, represented by Pretty Wild Card. With Hadley Thompson, the mare placed sixth in the Futurity Breakaway average, third in the Intermediate, won the Breederโs Incentive, and was reserve in the Stallion Incentive. She also added a Breederโs Incentive win in the Futurity Tie Down with Beau Cooper.
Super Horse Standings
The Super Horse title goes to the highest money-earning horse that wins in two or more events across the Gold Buckle season. Itโs a measure of versatility, grit and consistency at the highest level. After Ardmore, a few contenders have already checked both boxes with multiple wins and big checks. These five lead the race heading into the fall.
- Wares The Hottie
Wares The Hottie leads the Super Horse standings after placing in both the Maturity Breakaway and Maturity Tie-Down. She won the average and the stallion incentive in the breakaway with Shelby Meged, then added a round win, second in the average, and second in the stallion incentive in the tie-down with Haven Meged. Consistent, high-level results on both ends put her at the top.
- Pretty Wild Card
Pretty Wild Card ranks second with earnings in the Futurity Breakaway and Futurity Tie-Down. She placed sixth in the breakaway average with Hadley Johnson, added third in the Intermediate, won the breederโs incentive, and finished second in the Intermediate stallion incentive. She followed up with a win in the breederโs incentive in the tie-down with Beau Cooper.
- Aldo The Apache
Aldo The Apache holds third, earning checks with โthe Beau Show.โ He ran in the breakaway with Beau Peterson, winning the second go, then came back in the tie-down with Beau Cooper to win the average and take home the stallion incentive payout.
- Imgunnatrashtalk
Imgunnatrashtalk sits fourth after picking up checks in both the Futurity Breakaway and Tie-Down. He placed fifth in the breakaway average with Shelby Meged and finished third in both the average and the stallion incentive in the tie-down with Haven Meged. Two solid finishes put him well within Super Horse territory.
- Mcfly
Rounding out the list is Mcfly, who earned in both maturity roping events. With Haiden Thompson in the breakaway, he placed twelfth in the average and second in the Intermediate. In the tie-down with Myles Kenzy, he added a third-place finish in the Intermediate division.
The leaderboard is what will take us into the fall, but the race isnโt over. The World Finals in Abilene will bring the last payouts of the season, and every dollar earned there counts toward the year-end awards. From here on out, itโs about finishing strong.
Ardmore laid the foundation. Abilene will decide the rest. With one futurity behind them, every rider, horse and program in the running knows exactly whatโs at stake. Year-end awards will be based on combined earnings from the Spring Showdown and the Finals. One more week. One last chance to finish on top.
