The 2025 leaderboard is live, and every dollar earned at the Spring Showdown counts toward the fall awards. See whoโ€™s in the running for top honors when the Gold Buckle Futurities World Finals head to Abilene, TX on November 12-16, 2025.

The rider standings are set after the Spring Showdown, with earnings from Ardmore laying the groundwork for the run to Abilene. With just one event on the books, the top five have separated early and will carry that momentum into the fall.

These totals reflect only the riderโ€™s share of Stallion and Breeder Incentive earnings.

  1. Trevor Brazile

Trevor Brazile leads the 2025 standings off a stacked performance from both sides of the team roping. He picked up futurity money in the Heading on A Relentless Buzz and Cardi BRelentless, finishing second in the average, and came back strong in the Maturity Heading with RR Buckles Clubhouse, RR Gunners Affair, and Vintage New York. In the Maturity Heeling, Brazile pulled checks on four different horses: Not White At All, Pride And Joyy, Time To Glo and Gunna Wanna, clinching the average win to cap off a dominant weekend.

  1. Rhen Richard

Rhen Richard sits close behind after posting money across three roping events. He took the average win in the Futurity Heading on Sammis Big Gal, Nestle Time, and Merry A Nickidman, then kept the pace in the Maturity Heading aboard Acrimetawearnickers and BR Call An Uber, placing second in the average on the latter. He also added earnings in the Maturity Heeling on SJR Diamond Ombre, picking up additional cash through the Breeders Incentive.

  1. Joseph Harrison

Joseph Harrisonโ€™s earnings came from a solid spread of futurity and maturity rounds. He picked up Maturity Heading money on Air Force 1 and was second in the Futurity Heeling average with Hes Got Sann, alongside runs on Cattys Top Gun. In the Maturity Heeling, Harrison pulled checks on Nu One Time Blues and Copperton, keeping his position steady across multiple classes.

  1. Beau Peterson

Beau Peterson earned every dollar in the breakaway pen. She showed Hez Talkin Smack in the futurity and added multiple checks in the maturity with Aldo The Apache, Rollin On The River, Hez Talkin Smack again, and A Tru MVP. With runs across both divisions, Petersonโ€™s consistency put her firmly in the top five.

  1. Haven Meged

Haven Megedโ€™s spot on the leaderboard comes from deep runs in both the Futurity and Maturity Tiedown. He banked maturity checks on Bad Boon Baby RB, Imgunnatrashtalk, XIT Burton and Pawhuska, and finished second in the futurity average aboard Wares The Hottie. Additional rounds on See Ya At Noon, Stylin Royalty and Chics Trashy Doll kept his earnings rolling throughout the weekend.

The horse standings follow the same trajectory, shaped entirely by what played out in Ardmore. With one event in the books, the top five each put up meaningful checks and now hold a clear position heading into the run to Abilene. Itโ€™s early, but the leaderboard already reflects the kind of consistency it takes to stay in it.

Strong offspring performances in Ardmore put early weight behind a select group of stallions. The season is just getting started, but the influence behind the bloodlines is already showing.

Itโ€™s a measure of versatility, grit and consistency at the highest level. After Ardmore, a few contenders have already checked both boxes with multiple wins and big checks. These five lead the race heading into the fall.

  1. Wares The Hottie

Wares The Hottie leads the Super Horse standings after placing in both the Maturity Breakaway and Maturity Tie-Down. Rounding out the list is Mcfly, who earned in both maturity roping events. With Haiden Thompson in the breakaway, he placed twelfth in the average and second in the Intermediate. In the tie-down with Myles Kenzy, he added a third-place finish in the Intermediate division.

Ardmore laid the foundation. Abilene will decide the rest. With one futurity behind them, every rider, horse and program in the running knows exactly whatโ€™s at stake. Year-end awards will be based on combined earnings from the Spring Showdown and the Finals. One more week. One last chance to finish on top.
