Gold Buckle Futurities is proud to announce the release of 25 additional slots for the Elite Stallion Program. This expansion is a key part of our ongoing efforts to elevate the sport, increase payouts, and expand the opportunities available to stallion owners and competitors.

The addition of these slots will have a direct impact on the overall payout structure, including newly established payouts for the Intermediate and Limited classes. With this change, more participants at all levels will have access to substantial rewards, making Gold Buckle Futurities an even more exciting and competitive platform for todayโ€™s futurity rope horses and riders. This expansion reflects our unwavering dedication to ensuring that stallion owners see increasing value in their involvement with the program.

Since its inception, Gold Buckle Futurities has awarded significant payouts through the Elite Stallion Incentive, paying out a total of over $2.3 million. With the expansion of 25 new stallion slots, the payouts can be expected to exceed over $825,000 in 2025 alone!

“More competition makes events better. The added value to our slots keeps us invested, and this expansion helps ensure long-term success for stallion owners,” said Lacey Bourdet, Charter Elite Stallions Slot Owner. “Weโ€™re excited about what this means for the future of Gold Buckle Futurities and are looking forward to the 2025 events.”

โ€œWeโ€™re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have 25 additional slots opened this year,โ€ said Lizzy Clark of Red Arrow Ranch. โ€œThis allows us to showcase what our stallionโ€™s foals can accomplish in the roping pen. By expanding slot availability, there’s limitless potential – not only for his career as a sire but also for the continued growth of Gold Buckle Futurities. Well-managed incentive programs like GBF are essential to the ongoing success and sustainability of our sport.โ€

Dean Tuftin also expressed his support for the initiative, stating, “This is a smart move for the long-term growth of the event. As stallion owners, we want to see continued innovation, and this expansion brings more value to the program while keeping our industry strong.”

A Junior Stallion is a stallion whose oldest foals have not yet reached competition age (four years old). As part of the program, Junior Stallions have the opportunity to name a Senior Stallion, adding even more value to their enrollment.
