Stephenville, Texas – Gold Buckle Futurities is excited to announce the acquisition of the Medal Program breeder-based incentive program from the Platinum Medal Rope Horse Futurity. This acquisition will mark the beginning of the Gold Buckle Futurities Elite Breeders Incentive Program.

Along with the acquisition of the Medal Program also comes industry-leading organizer Billy Myers. “Joining the team at Gold Buckle Futurities and spearheading their Elite Breeders program brings me a lot of excitement, and I look forward to watching it grow,” says Myers.

With the rapid growth in the rope-horse futurity business, we have a goal to build for the better by bringing consistent four-judge scoring and better payouts across multiple events. This partnership with the Platinum Medal Rope Horse Futurity will continue to advance the development of our industry through multiple first-class events with attractive payouts not only to contestants and horse owners but also to stallion owners and breeders alike.

The Elite Breeders program will offer payouts that stretch across three events annually: GBF Spring/Summer Roping, Platinum Medal Rope Horse Futurity, and GBF Fall/Winter Roping. All horses of show age bred by enrolled breeding programs will be eligible for these payouts starting at the 2024 Gold Buckle Futurities Spring Roping presented by Bill Fick Ford.
